My name is Hannah and I am a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) at Walker Road Animal Hospital. I earned my Veterinary Technology diploma from the University of Guelph. My path to veterinary medicine started with an interest in the medical field. I actually wanted to be a Respiratory Therapist first, but when I gained a passion for animals, I decided to combine my love for medicine and animals and became an RVT!
Emergency and internal medicine are my main areas of interest. I find it incredibly rewarding to assist animals during stressful times and offer comfort to their owners. I also love the science behind veterinary medicine and am always fascinated by how the body works. Working here has given me the unique opportunity to work with a wide range of species, from rats and ferrets to birds, raccoons, and opossums—it’s always exciting!
When I’m not at the clinic, you might find me singing; it’s a passion of mine that goes back to childhood. I also share my home with a wonderful group of pets: Stella, my German Shepherd; Mew, a three-legged kitty; and two more cats, Bear and Evie.
