I graduated from the University of Windsor with a degree in Environmental Studies, and my love for animals and the environment naturally led me to the veterinary field. I’ve been passionate about animals for as long as I can remember—when I was younger, I even dreamed of being Dr. Dolittle!
In addition to my veterinary work, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to conservation efforts through organizations like the Essex Region Conservation Authority (ERCA), the Humane Society, and Wings Rehabilitation Centre. I’ve always felt a strong desire to protect animals and the environment they live in.
One area of veterinary medicine that I’m especially drawn to is working with exotic animals. I’m known as the “crazy rabbit lady” around here, and I happily embrace that title! I’m fascinated by rodents, reptiles, and all the unique challenges they bring. Helping with surgeries is another aspect of the job I love, especially when I get the chance to scrub in and assist.
Outside of work, I’m a big fan of cosplay and have been hired for various events as characters like Taylor Swift, Spider Gwen, and Fairy Princesses. I’m also deeply involved in community work through volunteering with my cosplay groups and even helping the homeless.
At home, I have two beloved pets: Fritz, a former clinic cat who now rules my household, and Bruno, a huge rabbit that survived a house fire – he is one tough cookie! They mean the world to me!
